Impatient Landcruiser

Sydney, Australia

25 Jan, 2026 - 1 week ago - on Ku-Ring-Gai Chase Road

Close Pass a cyclist and cross double white lines without care nearly causing an accident with two cyclists approaching.
Cycling west on Ku-Ring-Gai Chase rd, approximately 2km from Bobbin Head approaching Kalkari rangers station.
Cycling at approximately 12km/hr up the hill. Single lane road and I was as far to the left as possible allowing for others to pass me. The White land Cruiser (QF004) can be seen in the video approaching and appearing to not reduce speed. QF004 crosses the double white lines narrowly missing two cyclists approaching in the opposite direction. QF004 continues to overtake with only a few centimetres clearance, nearly hitting me. QF004 did not have sufficient vision ahead to cross the double white lines and safely overtake. The driver did not use indicators to signal to oncoming traffic that they were overtaking. One cyclists approaching can be seen to brake and swerve to avoid a collision.
Being Sunday morning there are many cyclists on this road. The driver would have passed 20-30 cyclists coming up from Bobbin Head. Their decision to not slow down and pass at an inappropriate time nearly caused two accidents; myself and the cyclist coming down the hill. If the driver had hit the cyclist coming down the hill it could have been quite serious.
