KS52 GD0 – closs pass and then threw liquid

This plonker of a driver of KS52 GD0 decided to class pass overtake.  Despite having to sit and wait at the traffic lights, they could not wait 2 seconds longer until it safe to move out and overtake with a safe distance.  Not only this, but the driver or occupant decided to then throw a liquid from their car at me.  Some went into my mouth and on my face.

I reported this to Northants Police.  I used their online form to report close passing that night.  As per their normal ridiculous policy of never informing a submitter of the outcome, I was left wondering if anything had been done.

Fed up of this, I called the control room on 101 after a few days and explained what I wanted.  I gave the online submission reference but they couldn't find it straight away.  It makes me wonder whether they are actually checked.  Eventually they found it.

The Police Officer then said that as I hadn't said the liquid was a harmful liquid, it was assumed harmless and there was no need to reply to me.  She assured me appropriate action would be taken.

I replied stating it was ridiculous as not only had be overtaken too closely, he had thrown something from the car.  It was anti-social and potentially dangerous.   The liquid might have been an acid?  What about if I had panicked as the water went in my mouth, lost control and come off and ended up dead.

But she assured me action would be taken.

A couple of weeks later I called up again to ask them to look into it and they confirmed the case had been reviewed by an officer, it had been dismissed and the file was now closed.

Wow.
